1-11_I thank God every time I think of you. I am confident that He Who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day Jesus comes. I pray that your love will grow stronger as your knowledge increases. I want you to be filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus.

__12-26_My imprisonment has positive aspects. It has become a witness to the place where I am held as well as to the Christians in the area. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

__27-30_Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. It has been granted to you to believe in Christ and to suffer for His sake.

1-11_Seek to make love, fellowship, and compassion theme of your lives. Do nothing from selfishness. Rather, be humble toward each other after the manner of Jesus' example.

__12-18_Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. God is at work in you to cause you to want to do His purpose. Do not grumble or argue. Hold fast to God's word so that I may rejoice in you when we have all finished this course.

__19-30_I intend to send Timothy to you. He will represent me well. I want to come when it becomes possible.

1-16_Righteousness that counts with God comes from faith in Jesus. My goal is to attain to the resurrection from the dead. I do not consider myself to have obtained this. Neither am I perfect. But I press on toward the goal for the upward call of Christ Jesus. The result of my faith is an ongoing process. Let's not go backwards.

__17-21_There are many who live contrary to true faith in Jesus, whose God is their appetite. We should look forward to true fulfillment when we are transformed from our humble state into conformity with His present glory.

1-7_Stand firm in the LORD. Rejoice in Him always. Forebear all men and do not be anxious. Ask of God and give thanks. His peace shall cover you.

__8-9_Let your mind dwell on the truth, on what is honorable, right, and lovely, just as I have demonstrated to you.

__10-18_I appreciate your concern for me. I have learned to be content whatever my circumstances. I know that I can do whatever God strengthens me to do. And I did receive the gifts you sent to me.

__19-23_My God shall supply all your needs. Glory be to Him and grace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
