1-14_Paul and Timothy send greetings to the church at Corinth. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ, who comforts us so that we may comfort others. I had intended to visit you on my way to Macedonia and then again when I went to Judea. But I decided not to come to Corinth. This is best for you.

1-17_Out of much anguish of heart I wrote to you, that you might understand the love I have for you. We are not like many who are peddling the word of God. We speak with sincerity as from God, and we speak in Christ's name in the sight of God.

1-18_We do not need a letter of commendation to you. You are our letter written in our hearts and read by all men. Having hope we speak boldly with plain words. We all with unveiled face behold in a mirror the glory of the LORD, and are being transformed into His image.

1-6_The god of this world has blinded the eyes of the lost. God who said, Let light shine out of darkness, is the One who has shone in out hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

__7-18_Any power we have comes from God. We are dying to self daily so that Christ may live in us. For we do not lose heart, though our outer man is decaying, our inner man is being renewed day by day. Any affliction we experience now is out weighed by the eternal glory yet to come.

1-10_While we live in this mortal tent we longingly await the body God has prepared. We know that while we are at home in this body, we are absent from the LORD. We walk by faith and not by sight. We look forward to the day we no longer live in this body, but when we will be with the LORD.

__11-21_Because Christ died for all, all have died. We should live no longer for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose again in our behalf. Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. God made Christ who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteous of God in Him.

1-18_Do not receive the grace of Christ in vain. Do not bind yourselves to unbelievers, for what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? Come out from their midst and be separate, says the LORD. And do not touch what is unclean.

1-16_Let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement. I wish I had not caused you sorrow with my letter, but I know it was needed. Rejoice that your godly sorrow brought about repentance which leads to salvation, whereas worldly sorrow produces death. We are comforted as we hear of the change in you.

1-33_Paul went through a great deal of persecution to spread the gospel. Five times he received thirty-nine lashes from the Jews. Three times he was beaten with rods, and once he was stoned. Three times he was shipwrecked, he spent a night and a day in the deep. He had many sleepless nights, often without food, in cold and exposure.

__7-10_Paul asked God three time to remove the thorn in his flesh. God's answer was, My grace is sufficient for you.
