1-15_This is a letter from Paul who was called as an apostle set apart for the gospel of God, concerning His Son who was born of the line of David. He was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead. Through Him we receive grace and apostleship, to bring about faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake.

__16-17_I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for Salvation to everyone who believes. The righteous man shall live by faith.

__18-23_Since the creation of the world God's eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen being understood through what God has created so that they are without excuse.

__24-25_Therefore God gave them over in their lust to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored. For they exchange the truth of God for a lie. They have worshiped the creature rather that the Creator.

__26-32_As people turn more and more away from God's purpose for them and toward their preferred perversions, His Spirit strives with them less and less.

1-16_When you judge another you condemn yourself. God will render to every man according to his deeds. God is not partial.

__17-29_Circumcision is of value if one practices the law. However, circumcision of the heart is even more important from God's point of view.

1-8_So what advantage does the Jew have? Much. The Jews were entrusted with the word of God. Just because some of them have been unfaithful, does that mean God is unfaithful? In fact, God will be found to be true even if every man is found to be a liar.

__9-18_So then are Jews better than Gentiles? No. Everyone is under sin. As it is written. No one is righteous. No, not one.

__19-20_The law brings knowledge of sin but does not justify the sinner.

__21-30_All have sinned. We may be justified as a gift by God's grace through faith in Jesus. A man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

__31_All of this does not nullify the law. Instead, it establishes the law.

1-25_Abraham was saved by works, and he believed in God. This was reckoned to him as righteousness. Circumcision is a seal of righteousness, which is based on faith even before circumcision is performed.

1-11_Being justified by faith we have peace with God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We exult in the hope of the glory of God. We exalt in tribulation which brings perseverance which proves character that results in hope. And this hope is not disappointed because of the love of God which is poured out within our hearts.

__12-21_Sin entered the world through one man and death spread to everyone. Through one man's disobedience many were made sinners. And through the obedience of One Man many will be made righteous.

1-11_Shall we continue in sin in order to make grace that much more inviting? If we are to die to sin how can sin still live in us? Consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ.

__12-14_Do not let sin reign in your mortal body. Sin shall not be master over you.

__15-23_Just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1-6_We are under the authority of the law and therefore condemned while we live. When we die to self and are reborn in Jesus we are then bound to Him and no longer under the condemnation of the law.

__7-25_The law is not sin but it points out my sin. Sin will be the death of me. Only Jesus can set me free from this body of death. Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1-11_Those who are in Jesus Christ are no longer condemned by the law. The law cannot change our behavior but Jesus can. He has taken our condemnation by the law and satisfied its claim on us. Now that we are in Christ Jesus our body of sin is dead. Now we are made alive through the Holy Spirit Who raised Jesus from the dead.

__12-17_We are no longer under obligation to the flesh. As we, by the Spirit, put to death the deeds of the body, we will live. In this way we become children of God.

__18-25_Any suffering in this life is nothing when compared to God's plan for us in the life to come. All creation suffers under the weight of the affects of sin. But as Christians we live with hope.

__26-30_The Spirit helps us in our weakness, even in our prayers, translating them into acceptable heavenly language. God takes all the circumstances of our lives and works them together for our ultimate good.

__31-39_If God is for us, who can prevail against us? Nothing can separate us from His love.

1-5_I would willingly give up my own life so that my Jewish brothers would accept Jesus Christ.

__6-18_The children of God are not made up of only Jews, nor is every Jew a child of the promise. Being one of God's children is all about God's mercy and not one's ancestry.

__19-29_God has used the obstinacy of those who have rejected Him to make His power known. This is not power to coerce but the power where rightness prevails over evil. As it says in Isaiah, though a great number make up Israel, I will save only a remnant.

__30-33_Both Jew and Gentile may obtain righteousness, but only by faith in God.

1-15_The Jews are full of zeal for God but they are not willing to recognize what the Bible says about Jesus Christ. The righteousness they seek ends up being their own and not what comes from God. Righteousness based on the law is not the same as righteousness based on faith in Jesus. There is therefore no distinction between Jew and Greek.

__16-21_Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of God. Salvation does not come by being physically born into a particular family group. It comes by hearing the Word of God.

1-10_As it was in Elijah's time, so it is now. In that time God had seven thousand who were true to Him. And today there are still some in Israel who are true to God's word. Many, however, have lost their way by trusting in the law more than in God. And God says, My grace is still being offered to them.

__11-24_Salvation is now being offered to the Gentiles in order to make the Jews jealous so that they will want what is making such a change in the lives of the Gentiles. Just as God has cut off some of the Jews, even more He will cut off you if they failed to be true to Him.

__25-32_Hardening had come to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles shall have come. Both Jew and Gentile have been disobedient but God shows His mercy to everyone.

__33-36_Oh the depths of the wisdom and the knowledge of God. How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways.

1-2_I urge you to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Rather than being conformed to the world, be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

__3-8_Do not think more highly of yourself than you ought to. Remember that we are all of one body in Christ with many members. Each one has different gifts, according the grace given to us.

__9-21_Love without being a hypocrite, or just acting the part. Abhor evil and cling to what is good. Bless those who persecute you. Never pay back evil with evil. As far as possible be at peace with everyone. Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good.

1-7_Submit to the governing authorities. Render to all what is due to them.

__8-10_Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another. Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love is the fulfillment of the law.

__11-14_It is time to wake up. Salvation is nearer than you may think. Lay aside the deeds of darkness. Put on the armor of light. Put on Jesus Christ and make no provision for the lusts of the flesh.

1-12_Accept the one who is weak in faith. Each of us is accountable to God. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. Why do you judge your brother? We shall all stand before the judgment seat of God. Each of us shall give an account of himself to God.

__13-23_Be careful to not place an obstacle in a brother's path. The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Let us pursue the things that make for peace and the building up of one another.

__7-13_May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

__14-21_I Paul aspired to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles where it had not been preached so that the Gentiles might become acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

__22-33_I, Paul, hope to visit you on my way to Spain. I urge you to strive together with me in prayers to God for me so that I may be delivered from the problems I have encountered in Judea. Now the God of peace be with you all.

1-16_Paul greets various people, including: Phoebe, Prisca and Aquila, Mary, Andronicus, and many others.

__17-20_Keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances that are contrary to the teachings which we have taught you. Turn away from these trouble makers. I rejoice over you because of the report of your obedience.

__21-24_Timothy and others with me send their greetings. The grace of Christ be with you all.

__25-27_To Him who is able to establish you according to the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery revealed in His life here on earth, and manifested by the Scriptures which lead us to an obedience of faith, to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen.
