Daniel 12 - Michael Stands Up. - KJV

1. Michael Will Stand up and There Will Be a Time of Great Distress.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which ______________ for the ______________ of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be ________________, every one that shall be found written in the book.

The reference to those written in the book suggests judgment.

2. Resurection for Those Who Sleep in the Dust.

Daniel 12:2-3 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. [3] And they that be wise shall shine as the __________________ of the ________________; and they that turn many to _______________________ as the stars for ever and ever.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and ________________ shall be ________________.

There are two possible outcomes for those who sleep. What are they?

1) _________________________________________________________

2) _________________________________________________________

3. Daniel Hears a Prediction about Time.

Daniel 12:5-7 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. [6] And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these ____________? [7] And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that __________ for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have _____________________ to ____________ the power of the holy __________, all these __________ shall be ______________.

Daniel 12:8-12 And I heard, but I __________________ not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? [9] And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. [10] Many shall be ______________, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do ______________: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. [11] And from the time that the daily ________________ shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh ______________ set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. [12] ____________ is he that ____________, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Daniel 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou _________ rest, and _________ in thy lot at the end of the days.

Again we see a time, times and a half a time. You will recall that a time is a Jewish year containing 360 days. A time and times and a half a time is three and a half years. 360 + 360 + 360 + 180 days = 1, 260 days. With a day representing a year in prophecy, this is a 1, 260 year prophecy.

The regular sacrifice represents Christ's all sufficient death in our behalf. At the beginning ofthe 1, 260 years someone would interfer with that truth or assurance.

The 1, 290 days and the 1, 335 days point to a time after the books of judgment have been opened suggesting the blessing to be allowed to witness the finishing God's plan for the salvation of humanity and the better understanding of that plan.
