1. The Story of This Earth Begins with God.

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the ____________ and the earth. [2] The earth was without form and void, and ______________ was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.

2. On the First Day God Created Light.

Genesis 1:3-5 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. [4] And God saw that the light was good; and God ________________ the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was ____________ and there was ____________, one day.

Which part of the day came first? Was it the evening or the morning? __________________.

3. On the Second Day of Creation What Did God Create?

Notice that water in two places: on the earth and above the earth. Firmament means air. God called the firmament heaven. There are three heavens in the Bible.
1) The air above the earth
2) The place where the stars are
3) The place where God lives

4. On the Third Day God Made Dry Land Appear.

Genesis 1:9-13 And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one _________, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
