1. The Story of This Earth Begins with God.

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] The earth was without form, and void; and ______________ was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was ______________ over the face of the waters.

2. On the First Day God Created Light.

Genesis 1:3-5 Then God said, Let there be light; and there was light. [4] And God saw the light, that it was good; and God ____________ the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the ____________ and the ____________ were the first day.

Which part of the day came first? Was it the evening or the morning? __________________.

3. On the Second Day of Creation What Did God Create?

Notice that water in two places: on the earth and above the earth. Firmament means air. God called the firmament heaven. There are three heavens in the Bible.
1) The air above the earth
2) The place where the stars are
3) The place where God lives

4. On the Third Day God Made Dry Land Appear.
