17-Sabbath - NKJ

1. God's Final Message Is a Call to Worship the Creator.
Revelation 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the ___________________ gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people-- [7] saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His ______________ has come; and ____________ Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and ____________ of water."

2. The Basis of All Worship Is the Fact That God Created Us.
Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To ____________ glory and honor and power; For You created all __________, And by Your will they exist and were created."

3. Jesus Is Our Creator and We Are to Worship Him.
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all see what is the __________________ of the mystery, which from the ________________ of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;

4. We Worship Our Creator by Keeping the Sabbath.
Exodus 20:8-11 ______________ the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your ______________, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your ______________ who is within your gates. 5. God Set the Sabbath Apart at Creation by Resting on It.
Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were ______________. 6. The Sabbath Was Given to Mankind 2, 300 Years Before the Existence of the Jews.

7. The Sabbath Was Established for All Mankind As a Sign Between God and His People.

8. Jesus Was a Faithful Sabbath Keeper.

9. Jesus Predicted That the Sabbath Would Be Kept in 70 A. D.

10. Paul Met with the Whole City to Worship on the Sabbath with Jews and Gentiles Alike.
Acts 13:42-44 So when the Jews went out of the ________________, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 12. The Lord Has Special Day at the End of the 1st Century.

14. Note the Following Three Days in Succession. Friday - the Day Christ Died-The Preparation Day.
Luke 23:53-56 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before. [54] That day was the ___________________, and the Sabbath drew near. [55] And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. 15. Saturday - the Day Jesus Rested in the Tomb on the Day Between Friday and Sunday.
Jesus rested in the grave while His followers also rested on that Sabbath, waiting until the next day to use the spices and ointments that they had prepared for His body on the preparation day which was Friday.

 16. Sunday - the Day Jesus Was Resurrected.
Luke 24:1 Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb ______________ the spices which they had ______________.

17. Jesus Is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same ________________, today, and ____________.

18. In the New Heavens and the New Earth, We Shall Keep Sabbath Each Week.
Isaiah 66:22-23 "For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the Lord, "So shall your ___________________ and your name remain.
