36-Baptism - NAS

1. Go Teach, and Baptize, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make _disciples_ of all the nations, _baptizing_ them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I _commanded_ you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

2. He That Believes and Is Baptized Shall Be Saved.
Mark 16:16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has _disbelieved_ shall be _condemned_.

3. Except a Man Be Born of Water and Spirit, He Cannot Be Saved.
John 3:5 Jesus _answered_, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the _kingdom_ of God.

4. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.
Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one _faith_, one _baptism_,

5. Jesus Was An Adult When He Was Baptized.
Matthew 3:13-17 Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him. [14] But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?" [15] But Jesus _answering_ said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to _fulfill_ all _righteousness_." Then he _permitted_ Him. [16] After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God _descending_ as a dove and _lighting_ on Him, [17] and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My _beloved_ Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

6. Biblical Baptism Takes Much Water.
John 3:23 John also was _baptizing_ in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and people were coming and were being _baptized_ -

7. Jesus Was Baptized by Going Completely Under the Water.
Mark 1:9-10 In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. [10] _Immediately_ coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove _descending_ upon Him;

8. Both Philip and the Eunuch Entered the Water. Philip Baptized the Eunuch by Immersion.
Acts 8:38 And he ordered the _chariot_ to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he _baptized_ him.

9. Buried with Christ Through Baptism.
Colossians 2:12 Having been buried with Him in _baptism_, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the _working_ of God, who raised Him from the dead.

10. Repent and Be Baptized.
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be _baptized_ in the name of Jesus Christ for the _forgiveness_ of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

11. They Gladly Received His Word and Were Baptized, Continuing Steadfastly in the Apostle's Doctrine, Or Instruction.
Acts 2:41-42 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. [42] They were _continually_ devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to _fellowship_, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

12. We Are to Be Baptized into the Body of Christ Which Is the Church.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all _baptized_ into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether _slaves_ or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Acts 2:46-47 Day by day _continuing_ with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and _sincerity_ of heart, [47] _praising_ God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

13. Arise and Be Baptized and Wash Away Your Sins.
Acts 22:16 'Now why do you delay? Get up and be _baptized_, and wash away your sins, _calling_ on His name.'
