36-Baptism - KJV

1. Go Teach, and Baptize, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, _baptizing_ them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things _whatsoever_ I have _commanded_ you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2. He That Believes and Is Baptized Shall Be Saved.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is _baptized_ shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be _damned_.

3. Except a Man Be Born of Water and Spirit, He Cannot Be Saved.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he _cannot_ enter into the _kingdom_ of God.

5. Jesus Was An Adult When He Was Baptized.
Matthew 3:13-17 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. [14] But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? [15] And Jesus _answering_ said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it _becometh_ us to fulfil all _righteousness_. Then he _suffered_ him. [16] And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up _straightway_ out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God _descending_ like a dove, and _lighting_ upon him: [17] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

6. Biblical Baptism Takes Much Water.
John 3:23 And John also was _baptizing_ in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were _baptized_.

7. Jesus Was Baptized by Going Completely Under the Water.
Mark 1:9-10 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from _Nazareth_ of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. [10] And _straightway_ coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove _descending_ upon him:

8. Both Philip and the Eunuch Entered the Water. Philip Baptized the Eunuch by Immersion.
Acts 8:38 And he _commanded_ the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he _baptized_ him.

9. Buried with Christ Through Baptism.
Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, _wherein_ also ye are risen with him through the faith of the _operation_ of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

10. Repent and Be Baptized.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be _baptized_ every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the _remission_ of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

11. They Gladly Received His Word and Were Baptized, Continuing Steadfastly in the Apostle's Doctrine, Or Instruction.
Acts 2:41-42 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. [42] And they continued _stedfastly_ in the apostles doctrine and _fellowship_, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

12. We Are to Be Baptized into the Body of Christ Which Is the Church.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all _baptized_ into one body, whether we be Jews or _Gentiles_, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Acts 2:46-47 And they, _continuing_ daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and _singleness_ of heart, [47] _Praising_ God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

13. Arise and Be Baptized and Wash Away Your Sins.
Acts 22:16 And now why _tarriest_ thou? arise, and be _baptized_, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
