1. Jesus Promised to Return.
John 14:1-3 "Let not your _hearts_ be _troubled_; believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my _Father's_ house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? [3] And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to _myself_, that where I am you may be also.
2. It Will Be the Same Jesus Who Went to Heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had said this, as they were looking on, he was _lifted_ up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. [10] And while they were _gazing_ into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, [11] and said, "Men of _Galilee_, why do you stand looking into heaven? This _Jesus_, who was _taken_ up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."
3. The Righteous Dead Will Be Resurrected and Will Ascend with the Righteous Living to Meet Jesus in the Sky.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord _himself_ will _descend_ from heaven with a cry of _command_, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the _trumpet_ of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; [17] then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord.
4. There Will Be Two Resurrections, the Resurrection of Life and the Resurrection of Damnation.
John 5:28-29 Do not _marvel_ at this; for the hour is _coming_ when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice [29] and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of _judgment_.
5. The Wicked Will Be Destroyed at Jesus Second Coming.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 Inflicting _vengeance_ upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
6. As Conquering King Jesus Will Redeem His People.
Revelation 19:11-16 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called _Faithful_ and True, and in _righteousness_ he judges and makes war. [12] His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many _diadems_; and he has a name inscribed which no one knows but himself. [13] He is clad in a robe _dipped_ in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. [14] And the armies of heaven, _arrayed_ in fine linen, white and pure, _followed_ him on white _horses_. [15] From his mouth _issues_ a sharp sword with which to smite the _nations_, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. [16] On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords.
7. Satan Will Be Bound for 1000 Years.
Revelation 20:1-2 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the _bottomless_ pit and a great chain. [2] And he seized the dragon, that ancient _serpent_, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a _thousand_ years,
8. Satan Is Bound to This Desolate Earth in Chains of Darkness with No One to tempt.
2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and _committed_ them to pits of nether gloom to be kept until the _judgment_;
9. The Greek Word for Bottomless Pit Means "Without Form and Void." (See Also Genesis 1:2).

10. During This Time the Earth Is Desolate (Without Form and Void) with No One Inhabiting It.
Jeremiah 4:23-27 I looked on the earth, and lo, it was waste and void; and to the _heavens_, and they had no light. [24] I looked on the _mountains_, and lo, they were _quaking_, and all the hills moved to and fro. [25] I looked, and lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the air had fled. [26] I looked, and lo, the _fruitful_ land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the LORD, before his _fierce_ anger. [27] For thus says the LORD, "The whole land shall be a _desolation_; yet I will not make a full end.
11. Those Slain by the Brightness of His Coming Will Not Be Buried.
Jeremiah 25:33 "And those slain by the LORD on that day shall extend from one end of the earth to the other. They shall not be _lamented_, or _gathered_, or buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.
12. The Righteous Dwell with God in Heaven for 1000 Years. They Sit on Thrones and Participate in Judgment.
Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was _committed_. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their _testimony_ to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not _worshiped_ the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their _foreheads_ or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
13. The Saints Will Judge the World.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you _incompetent_ to try _trivial_ cases?
14. The Resurrection of the Wicked Is So They Can Receive Their Final Reward. It Comes After the 1000 Years (First Part).
Revelation 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the _thousand_ years were ended. This is the first _resurrection_.
15. Satan Is Loosed From His Prison (Chains of Darkness) to Lead the Resurrected Wicked in a Final Attack on God.
Revelation 20:7 And when the _thousand_ years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his _prison_
16. Satan and His Evil Hosts Are Finally Completely Destroyed.
Revelation 20:9 And they marched up over the broad earth and _surrounded_ the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and _consumed_ them,
17. God Then Creates a Beautiful New World in Place of the Old One.
Revelation 21:1-3 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. [2] And I saw the holy city, new _Jerusalem_, coming down out of heaven from God, _prepared_ as a bride adorned for her _husband_; [3] and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his _people_, and God _himself_ will be with them;
