1. Jesus Promised to Return.
John 14:1-3 "Do not let your _hearts_ be _troubled_. Trust in God; trust also in me. [2] In my _Father's_ house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be _where_ I am.
2. It Will Be the Same Jesus Who Went to Heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. [10] They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when _suddenly_ two men _dressed_ in white stood _beside_ them. [11] "Men of _Galilee_," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same _Jesus_, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
3. The Righteous Dead Will Be Resurrected and Will Ascend with the Righteous Living to Meet Jesus in the Sky.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord _himself_ will come down from heaven, with a loud _command_, with the voice of the archangel and with the _trumpet_ call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord _forever_.
4. There Will Be Two Resurrections, the Resurrection of Life and the Resurrection of Damnation.
John 5:28-29 "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is _coming_ when all who are in their _graves_ will hear his voice [29] and come out--those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be _condemned_.
5. The Wicked Will Be Destroyed at Jesus Second Coming.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 He will _punish_ those who do not know God and do not obey the _gospel_ of our Lord Jesus.
6. As Conquering King Jesus Will Redeem His People.
Revelation 19:11-16 I saw heaven _standing_ open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called _Faithful_ and True. With _justice_ he judges and makes war. [12] His eyes are like _blazing_ fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he _himself_. [13] He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. [14] The armies of heaven were _following_ him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the _nations_. "He will rule them with an iron _scepter_." He treads the _winepress_ of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. [16] On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
7. Satan Will Be Bound for 1000 Years.
Revelation 20:1-2 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. [2] He seized the dragon, that _ancient_ _serpent_, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a _thousand_ years.
8. Satan Is Bound to This Desolate Earth in Chains of Darkness with No One to tempt.
2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy _dungeons_ to be held for _judgment_;
9. The Greek Word for Bottomless Pit Means "Without Form and Void." (See Also Genesis 1:2).

10. During This Time the Earth Is Desolate (Without Form and Void) with No One Inhabiting It.
Jeremiah 4:23-27 I looked at the earth, and it was _formless_ and empty; and at the heavens, and their light was gone. [24] I looked at the _mountains_, and they were quaking; all the hills were swaying. [25] I looked, and there were no people; every bird in the sky had flown away. [26] I looked, and the _fruitful_ land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the LORD, before his fierce anger. [27] This is what the LORD says: "The whole land will be ruined, though I will not _destroy_ it _completely_.
11. Those Slain by the Brightness of His Coming Will Not Be Buried.
Jeremiah 25:33 At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere--from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be _mourned_ or _gathered_ up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.
12. The Righteous Dwell with God in Heaven for 1000 Years. They Sit on Thrones and Participate in Judgment.
Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their _testimony_ for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not _worshiped_ the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their _foreheads_ or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a _thousand_ years.
13. The Saints Will Judge the World.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not _competent_ to judge _trivial_ cases?
14. The Resurrection of the Wicked Is So They Can Receive Their Final Reward. It Comes After the 1000 Years (First Part).
Revelation 20:5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the _thousand_ years were ended.) This is the first _resurrection_.
15. Satan Is Loosed From His Prison (Chains of Darkness) to Lead the Resurrected Wicked in a Final Attack on God.
Revelation 20:7 When the _thousand_ years are over, Satan will be _released_ from his prison
16. Satan and His Evil Hosts Are Finally Completely Destroyed.
Revelation 20:9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and _surrounded_ the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and _devoured_ them.
17. God Then Creates a Beautiful New World in Place of the Old One.
Revelation 21:1-3 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. [2] I saw the Holy City, the new _Jerusalem_, coming down out of heaven from God, _prepared_ as a bride beautifully dressed for her _husband_. [3] And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the _dwelling_ of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God _himself_ will be with them and be their God.
