1. Jesus Promised to Return.
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be _troubled_: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my _Fathers_ house are many _mansions_: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and _receive_ you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
2. It Will Be the Same Jesus Who Went to Heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud _received_ him out of their sight. [10] And while they looked _stedfastly_ toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; [11] Which also said, Ye men of _Galilee_, why stand ye _gazing_ up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like _manner_ as ye have seen him go into heaven.
3. The Righteous Dead Will Be Resurrected and Will Ascend with the Righteous Living to Meet Jesus in the Sky.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord _himself_ shall _descend_ from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be _caught_ up together with them in the _clouds_, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
4. There Will Be Two Resurrections, the Resurrection of Life and the Resurrection of Damnation.
John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is _coming_, in the which all that are in the _graves_ shall hear his voice, [29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of _damnation_.
5. The Wicked Will Be Destroyed at Jesus Second Coming.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 In _flaming_ fire taking _vengeance_ on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
6. As Conquering King Jesus Will Redeem His People.
Revelation 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called _Faithful_ and True, and in _righteousness_ he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he _himself_. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven _followed_ him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he _should_ smite the _nations_: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he _treadeth_ the _winepress_ of the _fierceness_ and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
7. Satan Will Be Bound for 1000 Years.
Revelation 20:1-2 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the _bottomless_ pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old _serpent_, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a _thousand_ years,
8. Satan Is Bound to This Desolate Earth in Chains of Darkness with No One to tempt.
2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and _delivered_ them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto _judgment_;
9. The Greek Word for Bottomless Pit Means "Without Form and Void." (See Also Genesis 1:2).
Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, _having_ the key of the _bottomless_ pit and a great chain in his hand.
10. During This Time the Earth Is Desolate (Without Form and Void) with No One Inhabiting It.
Jeremiah 4:23-27 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. [24] I beheld the _mountains_, and, lo, they _trembled_, and all the hills moved lightly. [25] I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. [26] I beheld, and, lo, the _fruitful_ place was a _wilderness_, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the _presence_ of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. [27] For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be _desolate_; yet will I not make a full end.
11. Those Slain by the Brightness of His Coming Will Not Be Buried.
Jeremiah 25:33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be _lamented_, neither _gathered_, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
12. The Righteous Dwell with God in Heaven for 1000 Years. They Sit on Thrones and Participate in Judgment.
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not _worshipped_ the beast, neither his image, neither had _received_ his mark upon their _foreheads_, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a _thousand_ years.
13. The Saints Will Judge the World.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye _unworthy_ to judge the _smallest_ matters?
14. The Resurrection of the Wicked Is So They Can Receive Their Final Reward. It Comes After the 1000 Years (First Part).
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were _finished_. This is the first _resurrection_.
15. Satan Is Loosed From His Prison (Chains of Darkness) to Lead the Resurrected Wicked in a Final Attack on God.
Revelation 20:7 And when the _thousand_ years are _expired_, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
16. Satan and His Evil Hosts Are Finally Completely Destroyed.
Revelation 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and _compassed_ the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and _devoured_ them.
17. God Then Creates a Beautiful New World in Place of the Old One.
Revelation 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [2] And I John saw the holy city, new _Jerusalem_, coming down from God out of heaven, _prepared_ as a bride adorned for her _husband_. [3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the _tabernacle_ of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God _himself_ shall be with them, and be their God.
