20-An Attempt to Change God's Law - NKJ

1. Thy Word Is Truth.
John 17:17 _Sanctify_ them by Your truth. Your _word_ is truth.

2. Truth Has Great Value.
Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and _instruction_ and _understanding_.

3. Jesus Is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same _yesterday_, today, and _forever_.

4. God Will Not Break His Covenant.
Psalms 89:34 My _covenant_ I will not break, Nor _alter_ the word that has gone out of My lips.

5. The Commandments Were Written with the Finger of God.
Exodus 31:18 And when He had made an end of _speaking_ with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the _Testimony_, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

6. Jesus Came to Fulfill Not Change the Law.
Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the _Prophets_. I did not come to destroy but to _fulfill_.

7. The Seventh-Day Sabbath Hallowed, Sanctified and Blessed in Eden.
Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were _finished_. [2] And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. [3] Then God blessed the seventh day and _sanctified_ it, _because_ in it He rested from all His work which God had _created_ and made.

8. Jesus Kept the Sabbath.
Luke 4:16 So He came to _Nazareth_, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the _synagogue_ on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

9. Paul Kept the Sabbath.
Acts 13:42-44 So when the Jews went out of the _synagogue_, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. [43] Now when the _congregation_ had broken up, many of the Jews and devout _proselytes_ followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, _persuaded_ them to continue in the grace of God. [44] On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

10. Early Christianity Predicted Apostasy.
Acts 20:28-31 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you _overseers_, to shepherd the church of God which He _purchased_ with His own blood. [29] For I know this, that after my _departure_ savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. [30] Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the _disciples_ after _themselves_. [31] Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

11. Truth Will Be Cast to the Ground.
Daniel 8:12 Because of _transgression_, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily _sacrifices_; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.

12. An Attempt Is Made to Change God's Law.
Daniel 7:25 He shall speak _pompous_ words against the Most High, Shall _persecute_ the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

13. Seal the Law Within God's People.
Isaiah 8:16 Bind up the _testimony_, Seal the law among my _disciples_.

Exodus 20:8-11 _Remember_ the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your _daughter_, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your _stranger_ who is within your gates. [11] For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. _Therefore_ the LORD _blessed_ the Sabbath day and _hallowed_ it.

14. God's People Will Receive the Seal of God Before the End of Time.
Revelation 7:1-3 After these things I saw four angels _standing_ at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. [2] Then I saw _another_ angel _ascending_ from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was _granted_ to harm the earth and the sea, [3] saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the _servants_ of our God on their _foreheads_."

15. God's Last Message Calls Us to Worship the Creator and to Keep His Commandments.
Revelation 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His _judgment_ has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and _springs_ of water."

16. God's People Are Faithful to Him.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the _patience_ of the saints; here are those who keep the _commandments_ of God and the faith of Jesus.
