20-An Attempt to Change God's Law - NAS

1. Thy Word Is Truth.
John 17:17 "_Sanctify_ them in the truth; Your _word_ is truth.

2. Truth Has Great Value.
Proverbs 23:23 Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom and _instruction_ and _understanding_.

3. Jesus Is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same _yesterday_ and today and _forever_.

4. God Will Not Break His Covenant.
Psalms 89:34 "My _covenant_ I will not violate, Nor will I alter the _utterance_ of My lips.

5. The Commandments Were Written with the Finger of God.
Exodus 31:18 When He had finished _speaking_ with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the _testimony_, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

6. Jesus Came to Fulfill Not Change the Law.
Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the _Prophets_; I did not come to abolish but to _fulfill_.

7. The Seventh-Day Sabbath Hallowed, Sanctified and Blessed in Eden.
Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. [2] By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. [3] Then God _blessed_ the seventh day and _sanctified_ it, _because_ in it He rested from all His work which God had _created_ and made.

8. Jesus Kept the Sabbath.
Luke 4:16 And He came to _Nazareth_, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the _synagogue_ on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.

9. Paul Kept the Sabbath.
Acts 13:42-44 As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people kept begging that these things might be spoken to them the next Sabbath. [43] Now when the meeting of the _synagogue_ had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing _proselytes_ followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to _continue_ in the grace of God. [44] The next Sabbath nearly the whole city _assembled_ to hear the word of the Lord.

10. Early Christianity Predicted Apostasy.
Acts 20:28-31 "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you _overseers_, to shepherd the church of God which He _purchased_ with His own blood. [29] "I know that after my _departure_ savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; [30] and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the _disciples_ after them. [31] "_Therefore_ be on the alert, _remembering_ that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.

11. Truth Will Be Cast to the Ground.
Daniel 8:12 And on account of _transgression_ the host will be given over to the horn along with the regular _sacrifice_; and it will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper.

12. An Attempt Is Made to Change God's Law.
Daniel 7:25 'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the _saints_ of the _Highest_ One, and he will intend to make _alterations_ in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

13. Seal the Law Within God's People.
Isaiah 8:16 Bind up the _testimony_, seal the law among my _disciples_.

Exodus 20:8-11 "_Remember_ the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your _daughter_, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your _sojourner_ who stays with you. [11] "For in six days the LORD made the _heavens_ and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; _therefore_ the LORD _blessed_ the sabbath day and made it holy.

14. God's People Will Receive the Seal of God Before the End of Time.
Revelation 7:1-3 After this I saw four angels _standing_ at the four corners of the earth, _holding_ back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. [2] And I saw _another_ angel _ascending_ from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was _granted_ to harm the earth and the sea, [3] saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their _foreheads_."

15. God's Last Message Calls Us to Worship the Creator and to Keep His Commandments.
Revelation 14:7 And he said with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His _judgment_ has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and _springs_ of waters."

16. God's People Are Faithful to Him.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the _perseverance_ of the saints who keep the _commandments_ of God and their faith in Jesus.
