Psalms 50:3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep _silence_: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very _tempestuous_ round about him.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord _himself_ shall _descend_ from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be _caught_ up together with them in the _clouds_, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Matthew 24:27 For as the _lightning_ cometh out of the east, and _shineth_ even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
When the Bible speaks of those being left, it does not say they will be left alive on earth.
In Noah's day there were two classes. One class was taken, or saved, and one was left, or destroyed by the flood. In Lot's day there were two classes. One class was taken out of the city and saved. The other class left in the city and consumed by fire. It will be similar when Jesus comes. It will be similar when Jesus comes. One class will be taken to heaven with Jesus and the other class will be destroyed.
Revelation 19:11-18 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called _Faithful_ and True, and in _righteousness_ he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he _himself_. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven _followed_ him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the _nations_: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he _treadeth_ the _winepress_ of the _fierceness_ and wrath of Al_mighty_ God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. [17] And I saw an angel _standing_ in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather _yourselves_ _together_ unto the _supper_ of the great God; [18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of _captains_, and the flesh of _mighty_ men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
The eagles eat carrion-dead things. The eagles Gather to feast on the dead. Each Bible reference to Jesus coming as a thief is in reference to the unexpected time of His coming, not the manner of His coming. He comes quickly as a thief, unexpectedly as a thief, but in glorious splendor as lightening in triumphant glory.
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be _revealed_, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the _brightness_ of his coming:
Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. [43] But know this, that if the _goodman_ of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have _watched_, and would not have _suffered_ his house to be broken up. [44] Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man _cometh_.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 But of the times and the _seasons_, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. [2] For _yourselves_ know _perfectly_ that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. [3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden _destruction_ cometh upon them, as _travail_ upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should _overtake_ you as a thief. [5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Matthew 24:27 For as the _lightning_ cometh out of the east, and _shineth_ even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The righteous are saved and the unrighteous are lost. In the parable of the unfaithful servant, there is no second chance.
