1. Jesus Promised That He Would Return.
John 14:1-3 "Do not let your heart be _troubled_; believe in God, believe also in Me. [2] "In My _Father's_ house are many _dwelling_ places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. [3] "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and _receive_ you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

2. Angels Confirmed the Promise.
Acts 1:9-11 And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud _received_ Him out of their sight. [10] And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white _clothing_ stood _beside_ them. [11] They also said, "Men of _Galilee_, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have _watched_ Him go into heaven."

3. Enoch Prophesied the Second Coming.

Psalms 50:3 May our God come and not keep silence; Fire _devours_ before Him, And it is very _tempestuous_ around Him.

5. Every Eye Shall See Him.
Revelation 1:7 BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who _pierced_ Him; and all the _tribes_ of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.

6. His Return Will Be Like Lightning.
Matthew 24:27 "For just as the _lightning_ comes from the east and _flashes_ even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

7. The Second Coming Will Be Audible.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord _Himself_ will _descend_ from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the _trumpet_ of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall _always_ be with the Lord.

8. We Will Be Clothed with Immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Behold, I tell you a _mystery_; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, [52] in a moment, in the _twinkling_ of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. [53] For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the _saying_ that is _written_, "DEATH IS _SWALLOWED_ UP in _victory_.

9. His Return Will Be a Glorious Event.
Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His _angels_, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN _ACCORDING_ TO HIS DEEDS.

10. The Wicked Will Not Be Happy.
Revelation 6:14-17 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every _mountain_ and island were moved out of their places. [15] Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the _commanders_ and the rich and the _strong_ and every slave and free man hid _themselves_ in the caves and among the rocks of the _mountain_s; [16] and they said to the _mountain_s and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the _presence_ of Him who sits on the _throne_, and from the wrath of the Lamb; [17] for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

11. The Evil Are Destroyed and the Righteous Are Saved.
Matthew 13:37-43 And He said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, [38] and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; [39] and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the _harvest_ is the end of the age; and the _reapers_ are angels. [40] "So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. [41] "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all _stumbling_ blocks, and those who commit _lawlessness_, [42] and will throw them into the _furnace_ of fire; in that place there will be _weeping_ and _gnashing_ of teeth. [43] "Then THE _RIGHTEOUS_ WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their _Father_. He who has ears, let him hear.

12. To the Righteous It Is a Joyous Event.
Isaiah 25:9 And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let us _rejoice_ and be glad in His _salvation_."

13. Jesus Returns As King of Kings.
Revelation 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called _Faithful_ and True, and in _righteousness_ He judges and wages war. [12] His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many _diadems_; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except _Himself_. [13] He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were _following_ Him on white horses. [15] From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may _strike_ down the _nations_, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He _treads_ the wine press of the _fierce_ wrath of God, the Almighty. [16] And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

[12] "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man _according_ to what he has done.

Revelation 22:17-20 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is _thirsty_ come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. [18] I _testify_ to _everyone_ who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the _plagues_ which are written in this book; [19] and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. [20] He who _testifies_ to these things says, "Yes, I am _coming_ _quickly_." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
