9-Confession And Forgiveness - NIV

1. God Willingly Pardons.
Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the _transgression_ of the remnant of his _inheritance_? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. [19] You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our _iniquities_ into the depths of the sea.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will forgive their _wickedness_ and will _remember_ their sins no more."

Acts 3:19 _Repent_, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of _refreshing_ may come from the Lord,

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is _faithful_ and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all _unrighteousness_.

Isaiah 44:22 I have swept away your _offenses_ like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have _redeemed_ you."

Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your _transgressions_, for my own sake, and _remembers_ your sins no more.

2. Forgiveness Brings Happiness.
Psalms 32:1 Blessed is he whose _transgressions_ are _forgiven_, whose sins are covered.

3. God Abundantly Pardons.
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his _thoughts_. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely _pardon_.

4. Even in Our Rebellion, He Is Ready to Pardon.
Nehemiah 9:17 They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and _compassionate_, slow to anger and _abounding_ in love. _Therefore_ you did not desert them,

5. Forgiveness Is Rooted in the Character of God.
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has _qualified_ you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the _kingdom_ of light.

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have _redemption_, the _forgiveness_ of sins.

6. God Forgives Completely.
Psalms 103:2-3 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-- [3] who _forgives_ all your sins and heals all your _diseases_,

7. He Forgives Our Many Sins.
Luke 7:47 _Therefore_, I tell you, her many sins have been _forgiven_--for she loved much. But he who has been _forgiven_ little loves little."

8. We Should Forgive Each Other As God Forgives.
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and _compassionate_ to one another, _forgiving_ each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
