9-Confession And Forgiveness - KJV

1. God Willingly Pardons.
Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the _transgression_ of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he _delighteth_ in mercy. [19] He will turn again, he will have _compassion_ upon us; he will subdue our _iniquities_; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their _unrighteousness_, and their sins and their iniquities will I _remember_ no more.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be _converted_, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of _refreshing_ shall come from the presence of the Lord.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is _faithful_ and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all _unrighteousness_.

Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy _transgressions_, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have _redeemed_ thee.

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy _transgressions_ for mine own sake, and will not _remember_ thy sins.

2. Forgiveness Brings Happiness.
Psalms 32:1 Blessed is he whose _transgression_ is _forgiven_, whose sin is covered.

3. God Abundantly Pardons.
Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the _unrighteous_ man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will _abundantly_ pardon.

4. Even in Our Rebellion, He Is Ready to Pardon.
Nehemiah 9:17 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their _rebellion_ _appointed_ a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and _forsookest_ them not.

5. Forgiveness Is Rooted in the Character of God.
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be _partakers_ of the inheritance of the _saints_ in light:

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have _redemption_ through his blood, even the _forgiveness_ of sins:

6. God Forgives Completely.
Psalms 103:2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [3] Who _forgiveth_ all thine _iniquities_; who healeth all thy diseases;

7. He Forgives Our Many Sins.
Luke 7:47 _Wherefore_ I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same _loveth_ little.

8. We Should Forgive Each Other As God Forgives.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, _tenderhearted_, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath _forgiven_ you.
