7-Salvation - NKJ

1. God Wants to Redeem Us Because He Loves Us.
1 John 4:8-9 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. [9] In this the love of God was _manifested_ toward us, that God has sent His only _begotten_ Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

2. God Created Us in His Image.
Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [28] Then God _blessed_ them, and God said to them, Be _fruitful_ and _multiply_; fill the earth and subdue it; have _dominion_ over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

3. Sin Destroyed Our Fellowship with God.
Genesis 3:8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God _walking_ in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the _presence_ of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

4. Everyone Has Sinned and Will Die.
Romans 3:23 For all have _sinned_ and fall short of the _glory_ of God,

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is _eternal_ life in _Christ_ Jesus our Lord.

5. Adam Brought Death and Jesus Brings Life.
Romans 5:18-19 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in _condemnation_, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in _justification_ of life. [19] For as by one man's _disobedience_ many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.

6. Jesus Bore Our Curse.
Galatians 3:13 Christ has _redeemed_ us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is _everyone_ who hangs on a tree"),

Hebrews 2:8-9 You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. [9] But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the _angels_, for the _suffering_ of death _crowned_ with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for _everyone_.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might _become_ the _righteousness_ of God in Him.

7. As We Repent, He Forgives.
Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be _converted_, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of _refreshing_ may come from the presence of the Lord,

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is _faithful_ and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all _unrighteousness_.

8. Receiving Jesus, We Are No Longer Condemned.
Romans 8:1 There is _therefore_ now no _condemnation_ to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through _faith_, and that not of _yourselves_; it is the gift of God,

9. Receive Jesus and Become Sons and Daughters of God.
John 1:12 But as many as _received_ Him, to them He gave the right to become _children_ of God, to those who believe in His name:

10. Believe in Him and Receive Eternal Life.
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the _testimony_: that God has _given_ us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [12] He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. [13] These _things_ I have _written_ to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may _continue_ to believe in the name of the Son of God.

11. The Gift of Salvation Is An Experience for the Present.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever _believes_ in Him should not perish but have _everlasting_ life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to _condemn_ the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
