7-Salvation - KJV

1. God Wants to Redeem Us Because He Loves Us.
1 John 4:8-9 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. [9] In this was _manifested_ the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only _begotten_ Son into the world, that we might live through him.

2. God Created Us in His Image.
Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be _fruitful_, and _multiply_, and _replenish_ the earth, and subdue it: and have _dominion_ over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

3. Sin Destroyed Our Fellowship with God.
Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the _presence_ of the LORD God _amongst_ the trees of the garden.

4. Everyone Has Sinned and Will Die.
Romans 3:23 For all have _sinned_, and come short of the _glory_ of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is _eternal_ life through Jesus _Christ_ our Lord.

5. Adam Brought Death and Jesus Brings Life.
Romans 5:18-19 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to _condemnation_; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto _justification_ of life. [19] For as by one mans _disobedience_ many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

6. Jesus Bore Our Curse.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath _redeemed_ us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that _hangeth_ on a tree:

Hebrews 2:8-9 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. [9] But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the _suffering_ of death, _crowned_ with glory and _honour_; that he by the grace of God _should_ taste death for every man.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we _might_ be made the _righteousness_ of God in him.

7. As We Repent, He Forgives.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be _converted_, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of _refreshing_ shall come from the presence of the Lord.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is _faithful_ and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all _unrighteousness_.

8. Receiving Jesus, We Are No Longer Condemned.
Romans 8:1 There is _therefore_ now no _condemnation_ to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through _faith_; and that not of _yourselves_: it is the gift of God:

9. Receive Jesus and Become Sons and Daughters of God.
John 1:12 But as many as _received_ him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that _believe_ on his name:

10. Believe in Him and Receive Eternal Life.
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the _record_, that God hath _given_ to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These _things_ have I _written_ unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may _know_ that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

11. The Gift of Salvation Is An Experience for the Present.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that _whosoever_ _believeth_ in him should not perish, but have _everlasting_ life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
