5-The Divinity Of Christ - KJV

1. Immanuel - God Is with Us.
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name _Emmanuel_, which being _interpreted_ is, God with us.

2. The Word Was God.
John 1:1 In the _beginning_ was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

3. Jesus Declared His Self-Existence.
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, _Before_ _Abraham_ was, I am.

4. I Am Is the Name of God.
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus _shalt_ thou say unto the _children_ of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

5. Jesus Forgave Sins.
Luke 5:20-24 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. [21] And the scribes and the _Pharisees_ began to reason, saying, Who is this which _speaketh_ _blasphemies_? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? [22] But when Jesus _perceived_ their _thoughts_, he _answering_ said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? [23] _Whether_ is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? [24] But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

6. Thomas Testified That He Was Both Lord and God.
John 20:28 And _Thomas_ _answered_ and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

7. The Father Addresses the Son of God.
Hebrews 1:5-9 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? [6] And again, when he _bringeth_ in the _firstbegotten_ into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. [7] And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his _ministers_ a flame of fire. [8] But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. [9] Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated _iniquity_; _therefore_ God, even thy God, hath _anointed_ thee with the oil of _gladness_ above thy fellows.

8. Jesus Christ Is Eternal.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, _Counsellor_, The mighty God, The _everlasting_ Father, The Prince of Peace.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the _thousands_ of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from _everlasting_.

1 Timothy 6:15-16 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only _Potentate_, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; [16] Who only hath _immortality_, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power _everlasting_. Amen.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, _behold_, I am alive for _evermore_, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

9. Jesus Voluntary Sacrifice for Us.
Philippians 2:5-12 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no _reputation_, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the _likeness_ of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became _obedient_ unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly _exalted_ him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should _confess_ that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. [12] Wherefore, my _beloved_, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my _presence_ only, but now much more in my _absence_, work out your own _salvation_ with fear and _trembling_.
