1. God Is Love.
1 John 4:8 He _who_ does not love does not _know_ God; for God is love.

2. The Enemy of God and Man.
Matthew 13:24-28 Another _parable_ he put before them, saying, "The _kingdom_ of heaven may be _compared_ to a man who sowed good seed in his field; [25] but while men were _sleeping_, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. [26] So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds _appeared_ also. [27] And the servants of the _householder_ came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?' [28] He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?'

3. Lucifer Was Once Part of Heaven.
Ezekiel 28:12-17 "Son of man, raise a _lamentation_ over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. [13] You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, _carnelian_, topaz, and jasper, _chrysolite_, beryl, and onyx, _sapphire_, _carbuncle_, and emerald; and wrought in gold were your _settings_ and your _engravings_. On the day that you were created they were _prepared_. [14] With an anointed guardian cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. [15] You were _blameless_ in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. [16] In the abundance of your trade you were filled with _violence_, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire. [17] Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you _corrupted_ your wisdom for the sake of your _splendor_. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you.

4. Lucifer Wanted to Exalt Himself.
Isaiah 14:12-14 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the _nations_ low! [13] You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of _assembly_ in the far north; [14] I will ascend above the _heights_ of the _clouds_, I will make _myself_ like the Most High.'

5. War in Heaven and Satan (Lucifer) Cast Out.
Revelation 12:7-9 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels _fighting_ against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, [8] but they were _defeated_ and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient _serpent_, who is called the Devil and Satan, the _deceiver_ of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Luke 10:18 And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like _lightning_ from _heaven_.

6. God Created Man in His Image.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and _female_ he created _them_.

7. Sin Lead to Mistrust, Separation, and Death.
Genesis 3:1-7 Now the serpent was more _subtle_ than any other wild _creature_ that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God say, 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?" [2] And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden; [3] but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, _neither_ shall you touch it, lest you die.'" [4] But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die. [5] For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, _knowing_ good and evil." [6] So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a _delight_ to the eyes, and that the tree was to be _desired_ to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her _husband_, and he ate. [7] Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig _leaves_ _together_ and made _themselves_ _aprons_.

Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD's hand is not _shortened_, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; [2] but your _iniquities_ have made a _separation_ between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you so that he does not hear.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is _eternal_ life in _Christ_ Jesus our Lord.

8. The Nature of Man Changed.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and _desperately_ corrupt; who can _understand_ it?

9. The Entire Human Race Was Affected.
Romans 5:12 Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death _spread_ to all men _because_ all men sinned--

Romans 6:16 Do you not know that if you yield _yourselves_ to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to _righteousness_?

10. Jesus Took Man's Nature and Was Victorious.
Hebrews 2:14-17 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same nature, that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, [15] and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong bondage. [16] For surely it is not with angels that he is _concerned_ but with the _descendants_ of Abraham. [17] Therefore he had to be made like his _brethren_ in every respect, so that he might become a _merciful_ and _faithful_ high priest in the service of God, to make _expiation_ for the sins of the people.

Romans 5:17-19 If, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. [18] Then as one man's trespass led to _condemnation_ for all men, so one man's act of righteousness leads to _acquittal_ and life for all men. [19] For as by one man's dis_obedience_ many were made _sinners_, so by one man's _obedience_ many will be made righteous.

11. Through Jesus Salvation Is Ours As a Gift.
Romans 3:24-25 They are justified by his grace as a gift, through the _redemption_ which is in Christ Jesus, [25] whom God put forward as an expiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's _righteousness_, because in his divine _forbearance_ he had passed over former sins;

12. Jesus Is with Us.
Isaiah 41:13 For I, the LORD your God, hold your _right_ hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I will _help_ you."

13. Satan Will Be Destroyed.
Ezekiel 28:17-18 Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you _corrupted_ your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. [18] By the _multitude_ of your iniquities, in the _unrighteousness_ of your trade you profaned your _sanctuaries_; so I brought forth fire from the midst of you; it _consumed_ you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you.

14. Our God Will Make All Things New.
Revelation 21:1-5 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. [2] And I saw the holy city, new _Jerusalem_, coming down out of heaven from God, _prepared_ as a bride adorned for her _husband_; [3] and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his _people_, and God _himself_ will be with them; [4] he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, _neither_ shall there be _mourning_ nor _crying_ nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away." [5] And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are _trustworthy_ and true."

15. Sin Will Never Be Again.
Nahum 1:9 What do you plot against the LORD? He will make a full end; he will not take _vengeance_ _twice_ on his foes.
