2-Who God Is - NIV

1. Everlasting.
Psalms 90:2 Before the _mountains_ were born or you _brought_ forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

2. All Powerful.
Daniel 2:20 And said: "_Praise_ be to the name of God for ever and ever; _wisdom_ and power are his.

3. He Sets up and Takes Down Kings.
Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and _knowledge_ to the _discerning_.

4. He Declares the End From the Beginning.
Isaiah 46:9-10 _Remember_ the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. [10] I make known the end from the _beginning_, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My _purpose_ will stand, and I will do all that I please.

Isaiah 45:21 Declare what is to be, present it-- let them take counsel together. Who _foretold_ this long ago, who _declared_ it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a _righteous_ God and a Savior; there is none but me.

5. All Powerful Creator.
Psalms 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the _heavens_ made, their starry host by the _breath_ of his mouth.

Psalms 33:9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he _commanded_, and it _stood_ firm.

6. Long Suffering, Gracious and Merciful.
Exodus 34:6-7 And he passed in front of Moses, _proclaiming_, "The LORD, the LORD, the _compassionate_ and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and _faithfulness_, [7] _maintaining_ love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."

7. Draws Us with Loving Kindness.
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD _appeared_ to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an _everlasting_ love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

8. The Owner of All the World.
Psalms 24:1 The earth is the _LORD's_, and _everything_ in it, the world, and all who live in it;

9. The Heavens Reveal His Glory.
Psalms 19:1 The heavens _declare_ the glory of God; the skies _proclaim_ the work of his hands.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty _strength_, not one of them is _missing_.

10. Our Deliverer Worthy of Our Praise.
Psalms 34:1-4 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. [2] My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. [3] Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name _together_. [4] I sought the LORD, and he _answered_ me; he _delivered_ me from all my fears.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be _dismayed_, for I am your God. I will _strengthen_ you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 43:1-3 But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have _redeemed_ you; I have _summoned_ you by name; you are mine. [2] When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be _burned_; the _flames_ will not set you ablaze. [3] For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your _Savior_; I give Egypt for your _ransom_, Cush and Seba in your stead.

11. He Will Never Forsake Us.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be _content_ with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I _forsake_ you."
