1. When Jesus Returns, Won't He Establish His Kingdom on Earth for 1000 Years? I Have Always Thought There Would Be People Alive During the 1000 Years of Peace on Earth During the Millennium.

Jesus Promised to Prepare a Place for Us.

John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

2. The Saved Are Caught up to Jesus in the Sky at His Second Coming.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

3. Jesus Will Come with His Angels and His Rewards.
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

4. Jesus Also Comes with His Angels and Brings Destruction on the Wicked.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

5. Jeremiah Describes the Wicked at the End of the Earth.
Jeremiah 25:33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

6. Another Description by Jeremiah of the Earth's Desolate Condition During the Millennium.
Jeremiah 4:23-27 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. [24] I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. [25] I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. [26] I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. [27] For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

7. Revelation Describes Satan Being Bound in the Bottomless Pit for 1000 Years. This Binding of Satan Is with a Chain of Circumstances.
Revelation 20:1-2 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The "bottomless pit, " or abyss, comes from the Greek word abussos and is the same word in the Hebrew Old Testament used for "without form and void. In Genesis 1:2, when God spoke the world into existence, it was without form and void, a darkened, desolate abyss of nothingness until God immediately separated the dry land, and then created a new world full of life.

8. Once Again, When God Is Ready, Sin Will Be Finally and Completely Destroyed. Out of the Abyss of the Old World, God Will Create a Marvelously Beautiful New World.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
