Chapters: 1 2 3 4 5 6
Theme: Paul seeks to strengthen the believers by explaining the nature and purpose of the church, which is the body of Christ. Ephesians 1 Ephesians 2 Ephesians 3 Ephesians 4 __7-16_Each one receives grace according to the measure of Christ's gifts: some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors, some as teachers, for the equipping of the saints. We are to grow up in all aspects into Christ Who is the head of the church.
__17-24_Lay aside the old self. Put on the new self which is in the likeness of God.
__25-32_Lay aside falsehood. Speak truth. Do not let anger lead to sin. Neither let the sun go down on your anger. No one should steal. Each one should work for his own needs and even be able to share with others in their needs. Let all your words edify. Be kind and forgiving, just as God has forgiven you.
Ephesians 5 __22-33_Wives, be subject to you husbands as in the LORD. Husbands, love your wives the way Christ gave Himself up for the church.
Ephesians 6 __10-24_Be strong in the LORD putting on the full armor of God. Your loins should be girded with truth. Wear the breastplate of righteousness and have your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel. Take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Pray at all times.
