Christ in the Psalms

The Psalms were of course written for the people of that time. But some cases, they pointed forward to the Messiah Who was to be a descendant of David. Because of this, Bible students have expected that many of the royal psalms would apply to the Messiah. Christians have noticed that many of the passages seem to describe the events of Christ's life, death, and resurrection. Jesus frequently quoted from Psalms. Almost everything that happened at Jesus' crucifixion, and most of His words during the final hours at Calvary, came directly from Psalms.
