1-12_We hold you up to the other churches as an example of perseverance and faith in the face of persecution and afflictions. One day, when God glorifies His saints, He will repay the evil of those who have caused you such problems. We pray that God will fulfill your every desire for goodness and work of faith with power.

1-12_When we were with you we gave you the truth of the gospel. Do not let anyone deceive you by saying they are bringing new light from us. In fact, the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Those who follow this message will perish with the one it comes from. Those who will not believe truth will come to believe lies.

__13-17_God has chosen you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. Stand firm with what we have taught you. May God comfort and strengthen you in every good work and word.

1-5_Please pray for us that the word of the LORD may spread rapidly as it did with you. The LORD is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

__6-15_We command you to keep separate from church members who are unruly and working against what we have taught you. Follow our example. We worked for our own keep. We didn't expect others to support us. People who do not work are against the cause of the gospel. Admonish them. And do not grow weary in well doing.

__16-18_May the LORD of peace continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The grace of the LORD Jesus Christ be with you all.
